After more than five years of anticipation, the city of Ponce City Market will finally open for business.
The opening of Pascagoula’s market is a huge deal for the community and the city.
It’s the first time in more than a decade that a local food market has been open in Pascakoula, which has the largest concentration of restaurants in the country.
This is a landmark moment for the Pascajun community and for the city as a whole.
The Pascagoas market will bring more than 30,000 people to the market every day, according to the city’s Mayor Chris Durbin.
And it will give the community more of a sense of pride that we’re opening our own market, which is something that has been missing for a long time.
For Durbins daughter, who is a restaurant owner, the market is something special.
She’s excited about opening the market.
She’s so excited.
I think it’s gonna be an amazing thing for our community.
I’m not sure what will happen, but I think it will make a huge impact for Pascagos community.
For a long while, it was a community only coming in to buy local.
The market opened in 2007, and Pascaginas population has increased by 50 percent since then.
In fact, Pascaberg has seen a 100 percent increase in its population.
So it was important for PASCAGOULS to come in and start to buy locally, because if you buy locally you have more people to serve.
So that’s exactly what Pascagaans community hopes to achieve.
The city hopes to make Pascogoula a destination for the rest of the year.
It also hopes to see more food trucks and vendors coming to the area.
There are also plans for more food court events and an upcoming Pascagena Arts Festival.
There’s no timetable yet for when the market will open, but it will open on Friday, April 17.
